Purox® S is the highest quality sodium benzoate available on the market and has a long history of use as a globally trusted, nature identical preservative. It is used to safely and effectively inhibit microbial growth up to pH 6.5, and it is a green-label alternative to preservatives under scrutiny, including sensitizers such as isothiazolinones (BIT, MIT, MCIT), irritants, parabens, and formaldehyde releasers. It is biodegradable and authorized for use under green label programs such as ECOCERT COSMOS, EU Ecolabel, and Nordic Swan. Kalama Sodium Benzoate is often used with Kalama Benzyl Alcohol NF/FCC to leverage the ingredients’ natural antimicrobial synergy. Common applications include lotions, moisturizers, and topical ointments, soaps, shampoo and conditioner, wipes, oral care products, and feminine hygiene products. Purox S is manufactured to very high purity and quality standards, ensuring an excellent taste and odor profile.
