SEBOCEA® is an efficient marine treatment against oily skin and its related disorders. It is a water calibrated extract that combines the properties of the green microalga Tetraselmis chui and the brown seaweed Fucus spiralis. SEBOCEA® decreases the sebum secretion by inhibiting the testosterone 5 alpha-reductase enzyme which is responsible for the overproduction of sebum. At 1%, the active significantly inhibits by 42% the activity of 5 alpha-reductase. SEBOCEA® offers a strong anti-inflammatory activity by inhibiting the activation of the pro-inflammatory cytokins IL-8 and TNF alpha.
