Synthalen® W500 is a cost-effective anionic acrylic copolymer used in the cosmetic industry as a thickener and stabilizer. It is supplied as a low viscosity O/W emulsion. When neutralized in water, Synthalen® W500 dispersions are characterized by medium viscosity. Thanks to its resistance to alkali conditions, Synthalen® W500 can be used in hair styling products and in any formulation where a high pH is required. Synthalen® W500 is compatible with high concentrations of anionic and amphoteric surfactants, making it an excellent thickener for shampoos and shower gels. view less
