LAS 90% is a anionic surfactant obtained by sulphonation of the LAB - Linear Alkylbenzene with lateral paraffinic chain 10 - 13 carbon atoms and a sulfonating agent such as SO3. It shows excellent detergency performance, dispersing and wetting power, solubility and hydrolysis resistance, and may be used in both acid and alkaline formulations. Due to its environmental compatibility, this surfactant is most used worldwide in the production of detergents, household and institutional cleaners, treatment, processing and finishing of metals in the food processing industry and as an agricultural emulsifier.
