KBM-573, N-phenyl-3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane), is a specialty silane coupling agent that significantly improves the performance of many composite materials in more demanding applications. KBM-573 provides many of the same benefits for which aminosilanes are well known. When used as an additive for thermoplastics and thermosets, KBM-573 dramatically improves the dispersion of fillers, lowers viscosities, and positively impacts other aspects of processing the uncured composite. Upon curing, it creates strong covalent bonds between the inorganic and organic components within the composite and it provides superior adhesion of the composite to many different substrates. However, when compared to more common aminoalkylsilanes, such as Shin-Etsu KBM-603 or KBM-903, the phenyl ring of KBM-573 leads to significantly enhanced thermal stability and better organic compatibility in many systems.
Empresa
Shin-Etsu Silicones produces silicones and silicone products for the Paints and Coating Industry. They provide first rate silicone compounds to develop and increase the reliability and all around performance of a product. One such product type, Silane Coupling Agents, are used as a mediator that helps improve and support bonds between inorganic and organic materials. This allows for surface modification and resin modification to take place. It also aids in the increased adhesion and the enhancement of the mechanical durability of composite materials.

ABOUT
Prospector Lists
Lists combine the ease of Bookmarks with the versatility of Tags. Instead of one collection of bookmarked items, create as many collections, called "Lists," as you need.
Previous Bookmarks and Tags
Find the link to your List page in the user menu.
All Tags have been converted to separate Lists, and your bookmarked items have been saved to a "Bookmarks" List.
Adding Items
When you click the Add to List button, a dropdown of your existing Lists appears. Click the List name to which you want to add this product or formula.
Create a New List
You can also create a new List. Simply click "Create a New List" and enter a name.
Multiple Lists
When you define a new List, the current item is automatically added to it. You can add a product or formula to as many Lists as you need.
Explore Your Lists
Easily see which Lists this item appears in, and quickly go to that List from the links that appear on the page.
