Capmul® S12L (Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate) is the partially neutralized condensation product of lauric acid and lactic acid. It is used both in hair care and skin care, providing an additional skin conditioning effect. It is an environmentally friendly replacement for alkanolamides providing rheology control as well as giving aesthetically pleasing dense, creamy foam.
Due to the high foaming character of Capmul® S12L, it may be employed as a primary surfactant in sulfate-free formulations or used as a secondary surfactant to add additional benefits. It is an excellent emulsifier in creams and lotions, providing an alpha-hydroxy acid benefit at lower pH.

Find the link to your List page in the user menu.
All Tags have been converted to separate Lists, and your bookmarked items have been saved to a "Bookmarks" List.
When you click the Add to List button, a dropdown of your existing Lists appears. Click the List name to which you want to add this product or formula.
You can also create a new List. Simply click "Create a New List" and enter a name.
When you define a new List, the current item is automatically added to it. You can add a product or formula to as many Lists as you need.
