Norfox® LGC is a blend of Lauryl Glucoside and Cocamidopropyl Betaine that is designed to build and stabilize foam. The 40% active blend is in liquid form and is easy to work with. Although Norfox® LGC can be used in many blends to build and stabilize foam; it was specifically formulated to help replace DEA amides with a regulatory-friendly formula. If used to replace a DEA amide, it is recommended that formulators start with a 2:1 replacement rate; but it is possible less will be needed. Norfox® LGC has many favorable characteristics, including viscosity booster (esp. in SLS/SLES-based blends), foam booster, foam stabilizer, stable in neutral, alkaline, and acidic systems, and water-soluble.
