Camelina Oil is yellow to greenish-colored with a oily, grassy aroma. It is first and foremost an exquisite and delicious edible oil. It can be used in the same way as linseed oil or fish oil, because it is an equally excellent supplier of omega-3 fatty acids and is, in addition, more stable to oxidation. The high content of α-linolenic acid is particularly important for nutrition, especially for vegans, vegetarians, and raw food enthusiasts. Due to the high amount of poly-unsaturated fatty acids, the camelina oil should not be heated. The food industry therefore uses organic camelina oil for salad dressings, potato dishes, spreads and dips, pesto or yoghurts.
