Capsicum Oleoresin (6.2% capsaicin) is a natural oleoresin obtained by solvent extraction of red chili. It has stinging and spicy olfactory notes as well as a piquant and spicy taste. It is a viscous red-brownish liquid that is insoluble in water but soluble in oils; it can also be dispersed on dry/liquid carriers such as salts, dextrose, edible oils, and lecithin. The product is used as a flavoring agent.
