TEQFEEL 100 is a 100% polydimethylsiloxane of viscosity 100 mm2/s. The low viscosity of this fluid makes the ingredient an extremely good spreading agent, which creates non-tacky semipermeable moisture barriers in skin creams and lotions. Low-viscosity dimethicone can also eliminate the whitening or ‘soaping’ effect seen in W/O emulsions. In hair care, this material can be used in serums or conditioners to give hair a smooth feel.
