PROTICUTE C ALPHA is active ingredient for daily damaged hair, recommended for shampoo, hair treatment, hair mist, and other hair care applications, especially hair treatment with high-damage care and shampoo with damage care. It is expected to create adequate volume on hair. It is obtained from sheep wool that has similar keratin composition as human hair. It is a cationized version of α-keratin that has been extracted and purified while maintaining the amino acid balance without destroying the molecular state of the same keratin protein as hair and scalp as much as possible. It protects hair and prevents damage during bleaching and perming. It has an average molecular weight of 25,000-45,000. Thus it has been found that the use of this compound provides capillary and dermal protection due to the polypeptide fractions, together with the reduction of aggressivity in mixtures with the traditional cationic compounds. With regards to the cationic behavior this has been enhanced because of the transformation in quaternized nitrogen of an important fraction of the ammine nitrogen of the polypeptides.
