Due to the low odor and light color of Lexol® IPM-NF MB, it is particularly useful in formulations where high emollient concentrations are required. Low viscosity, low freezing point, and outstanding spreading properties impart enhanced fluidity to liquid cosmetics during cold storage and depress the cloud point of clear, oil based products. Lexol® IPM-NF MBF is soluble in acetone, castor oil, ethanol, heptane, and isopropanol. Lexol® IPM-NF MB is insoluble in glycerol, propylene glycol, and water.
