The main purpose of this product is to present the bioactive ingredient in a concentrated form, by encapsulating it into a water-dispersible system, avoiding aggressive stirring/shear or extra emulsifiers or solvents. This essential property is due to the special and sophisticated design of the capsule shell, which plays two important roles: on one hand, the biodegradability and biocompatibility of the polymers make the whole system very suitable for cosmetic applications; and on the other hand, it prevents the premature degradation of the bioactive ingredient, keeping its beneficial activity until the moment it is applied and released. It is dispersible in water without any external surfactant and it undergoes redox-triggered release in response to biological fluids.
