Folic Acid is a yellow to yellow-orange crystalline, practically odorless powder. It is very slightly soluble in water, insoluble in alcohol, acetone, ether and chloroform, and readily soluble in solutions of alkali hydroxides and carbonates. Folic Acid is fairly stable to air, but somewhat sensitive to heat and light, especially to ultraviolet radiation. Neutral solutions are relatively stable. view less
