This product develops a medium surface tension reduction and can be used either for clearcoats or for pigmented coating systems. Borchi® Gol LA 2 is characterized by good binder compatibility and is particularly suitable for chemically curing finishing paints like hydroxyl bearing polyacrylates and polyesters, primarily polyester melamine or epoxy systems. It also supports levelling in physically curing finishes based on long-, middle and short chain alkyds and polyacrylates. This product is especially recommended in systems where solvent-free additives or certain solvents are required. Baybond® XL 825 was developed as crosslinker for the sizing of glass fibers used in combination with Baybond binders to reinforce thermoplastics, particularly polyamide. Glass fiber sizes based on Baybond® XL 825 are characterized by their good colorfastness, even at elevated temperatures. The mechanical film properties of sizings based on Baybond® XL 825 are developed fully by postcrosslinking at temperatures from 170°C for a duration of 20 minutes.
