When ITAMID C is used with an epoxy resin with an epoxy equivalent weight of around 190, the normal ratio used is 60 p.p. of epoxy to 40 p.p. of polyaminoamide. However, this ratio can be varied, even widely, whilst bearing in mind that a greater percentage of polyamine resin increases flexibility but reduces resistance to chemicals. In solvent systems ITAMID C is usually combined with a solid epoxy resin whose pot-life changes with the percentage of dryness and temperature in addition to the type of epoxy used. When ITAMID D is used in combination with an epoxy resin with a epoxy equivalent weight of around 190, depending on the applications the ratio between epoxy and polyamine may vary between 65/35 and 75/25 with pot-lives varying between 110 and 130 minutes.
