CoatForce® CF50 is a high quality engineered mineral fibre. Its fibre length results in dispersion in various matrix materials e.g. water and solvent based resins, bitumen. CoatForce® CF50 gives mechanical properties and rheological behavior to various paint and coating systems. CoatForce® CF50 has an off-white colour and very low shot content. CoatForce® exhibits excellent performance at elevated temperatures. It will not contribute to a fire but act as a blocking medium and reduce the spread of flame. It can be used at temperatures up to 700 ºC for CoatForce®. CoatForce® provides reinforcement and dimensional stability to a composite. Well-dispersed fibres form a reinforcing network in the paint layer, significantly enhancing resistance to cracking, impact, chipping and wear.
