It is also suitable for water-based epoxy, wash primers, direct-to-metal finishes, 2k solvent-based epoxies, water-reducible alkyds, acrylics, polyvinyl chloride resins, and polyesters. HALOX® CW-491 is a white, non-refractive, zinc-, & heavy metal-free grade that is used for protective coating systems. The dosage level of the grade is 5-8% based on the total formula weight for water-based systems and 7-12% based on the total formula weight for solvent-based systems.
