Compared with these conventional materials, due to composition, Bemliese™ has excellent features, including high purity, low lint, low contamination, absence of any paper-like flavor, high biodegradability, excellent liquid absorbency, high heat resistance, etc. It's made from cotton linter, which is a by-product of cotton yield. Of course, it's also FDA-certified and can be safely used for food contact applications.
