One of the major challenges when using polymers, such as in metal replacement applications in the automotive industry, is to achieve equal or superior performance while saving weight and reducing costs.
MMI Technyl® Design (Multi-scale modelling, Mechanical calculation, and Injection molding simulation) is one part of the Technyl HUB technical services and it enables manufacturers to understand the real behavior of materials before moving forward with physical production phases.
Helping avoid costly re-engineering and development iterations, this platform simulates fiber-reinforced parts made with Technyl® for unprecedented structural analysis accuracy. Reliable laboratory data enables our customers to fully exploit key material properties at the lowest cost, optimizing new designs and reducing material usage when redesigning existing parts.
Key learnings from our webinar:
- Virtual prototyping: Technyl® HUB team supports customers with predictive simulation to avoid trial and error costs during the development phase.
- Design optimization: Technyl® HUB team aims at evaluating and maximizing Technyl® performance vs metal or other polymers to reduce materials costs.
- Part performance prediction: Technyl® HUB offers numerical validation of part performance to increase confidence in new par designs, namely for metal replacement.
- Processing expertise: Technyl® HUB helps to solve processing problems and recommend best production parameters to reduce production costs.
